2022 Overtones Recap

For two months in the summer of 2022, The Rising Artist Foundation and independent record label Other People removed barriers to fostering a musical career for eight emerging LA-based electronic musicians.

They received personalized production guidance from Nicolás Jaar and met established professionals to help them navigate the industry. OVERTONES was a unique opportunity to grow professionally and creatively together.

We gave them a grant, health insurance and 16 sessions (8 creative, 8 professional). By the end of the program, they had:
  • honed their production skills
